Program Changes During COVID-19 Situation
Written by 94.7 The Pulse on March 19, 2020
The programs on 94.7 The Pulse are proudly produced and presented by volunteer members of our community.
The health of our volunteers is of the utmost importance to us and after much deliberation, we have made the decision to temporarily restrict access to our studios for a period of three weeks to minimise the risk of community transmission of COVID-19.
This will affect our regular program schedule during this time, but rest assured, the show will go on!
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, and ongoing indefinitely (situation reviewed fortnightly by the Board of Management), 94.7 The Pulse will continue the live broadcasting of our local news and current affairs programming from 9am to 11am, Monday to Sunday. This programming aims to continue fulfilling the community’s need for connectedness and timely news and advice, as well as other topics outside the current health emergency.
All other timeslots will be filled with pre-recorded music programs (along with some of our regular programs) to ensure we’re keeping The Pulse pumping during these uncertain times.
We appreciate that the disruption to our programming may be inconvenient and upsetting, but know that we have our community’s best interests at heart and that our volunteers and staff are continuing to work hard behind the scenes to bring you the same quality listening, by the community, for the community.
We will update listeners regularly on any and all changes to programming as the situation progresses.
Until then, we remain your voice!
