Local and Live: More New Pulse Programs!
Two original shows are joining us here at the Pulse, back-to-back every Friday.
Djilang News, Views and Reviews hosted by Megan, Leah, Prue and Loretta focuses on local news events and live music, within the community.
The Fixture is our new sports program and is broadcasted by Leo and Peter Kelly, as well as Rob Eagles who is the program’s panellist.
Leah, one of the presenters on Djilang News graduated from the Intro To Broadcasting course earlier this year at The Pulse, wanted to get involved in the community through radio.
‘’I’ve been here (Geelong) for two years, and I wanted to get to know my community better” she said enthusiastically.
Megan is originally from Cambridge, in the UK and has always had a love for radio and sound production.
“It started with my degree in music, I found my love for journalism through music” she stated.
The show talks all things of the Geelong region, from local artists to gigs around town.
Djilang News, Views and Reviews is one show to look out for. Tune in Friday 11am till 12pm!
The Pulse’s brand-new sports program is straight after Djilang news.
The Fixture is hosted by duo, Leo and Peter Kelly.
Peter is an avid sports lover has always had a passion for commentating. He is the proud dad of Coach Kelly, who is currently coaching midfield for Port Adelaide in the AFL.
“Our program focuses on the Geelong District Football and Netball League,” Peter said.
The show will focus on local football and netball clubs within the Geelong community.
“We will be doing match of the day reviews, broadcasting from The Pulse,” Leo said.
Both Peter, Leo and Rob have an interest in local sports and will be bringing on guests each week, from each sporting club in Geelong.
