From new releases to touring artists currently making the rounds of Australia, tuning in to Mixin’ It Up will expand your listening palate as well as give you the classics you know and love. Q. If you could have any job for a day, what would it be? A. Senior Journalist at Rolling Stone Magazine. Q. What's your favourite food? A. Ooh, a good lamb curry. Q. What's your favourite band? A. Too many to think of, top three is Ray Lamontagne, John Mayer and The Wombats. Q. If you could have any three people to dinner, who would they be? A. Allen Stone, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen Q. If you could meet anyone who has passed away, who would it be and why? A. Levon Helm from the band. Such an interesting back story and The Band backed Bob Dylan. They'd have heaps of stories to tell. Q. What's your best advice for people interested in working on radio? A. Be a sponge. Open to advice from all sources and open to playing and absorbing all music and criticism that comes your way. Allows you to make a more indepth and interesting program. Q. What event, festival or service would you being to Geelong? A. SXSW showcase Australian Edition. It'd allow everyone to get the leg up on new music circulating around the world. Q. What song is your guilty pleasure? A. Again its a tie between 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman' by Shania Twain and 'Murder On The Dancefloor' by Sophie Ellis Bextor. 'Orinoco Flow' by Enya should get an honourable mention though.
