Loud ‘n Local Concert hosted by 94.7FM The Pulse
Held on Friday 3rd April, 94.7 The Pulse in conjunction with National Youth Week held a Live-to-Air concert at Geelong’s Trades Hall entitled Loud ‘n Local, and was it! There was a great line-up of local and almost-local performers, featuring Andy Bear and the Bum Chums, She Fuzz, Radio Star and Geelong favourite, Drive by Epic.
The night started out well with Andy Bear and the Bum Chums, a strange name for an even stranger band, hailing from the Niddrie in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, these fellows were the youngest of our performers on the night and put on a fascinating show.

Definitely a crowd favourite, local group She Fuzz thoroughly entertained the audience with their driving pace, delicious beats and raspy harmonica.

The wonderful presenters of Aussie Assault, Ash and Ben were the MC’s for the evening spreading the love and musicality.

Some special guests on the night, Kristie and some fellow associates from Youth Victoria. The girls discussed youth issues with Ben, such as homelessness and depression, they also provided some information in the form of fliers and pamphlets.

Another group from Melbourne, Radio Star made the semi short/long trip to Geelong to perform for us, their bold pop and biting lyrics gave the crowd that dancing feeling.

One of Geelong’s most popular groups, Drive By Epic literally rocked the foundations of Geelong’s Trades Hall on the night.

And last but by no means least, the Pulse Bus, which made the whole night possible by transmitting the signal back to the station. Here we see Andre from Spinning Half working hard on the inside.
