Doug Aiton has returned to 94.7 The Pulse!

Doug AitonDoug has considerable experience in the three different corridors of the print, visual and aural media. With an impressive journalistic background, beginning with his cadetship at the Melbourne Herald, he has worked for The Age, The London Times, The Bulletin, ABC Radio, The Geelong Advertiser and Channel 9 (to name just a few). He also published a two-volume set of paperback books, based on his weekly column, “Conversations”, which appeared in “The Sunday Age”.

Whether he is speaking about his experiences in the world of media, it's differences and difficulties, or life at The Times, or perhaps sharing the fascinating anecdotes of the most interesting people he has interviewed-such as Barry Humphries, Spike Milligan, James Stewart, Sir Robert Helpmann, Bob Hawke and Sophia Loren - Doug Aiton's programs are always popular with his audiences.

Tune in at 4 o’clock each Friday afternoon for some fascinating chats with current media identifies and politicians, as well as some talk and analysis of current issues with regular guests, along with a movie review or two.

    During one programme, Doug played a recording of an interview he conducted while hosting Drive on 774 ABC predecessor 3LO in 1991. The interview was with impersonator and voice actor Keith Scott, who has been one of the people responsible for Warner Bros. cartoon voices since the death of Mel Blanc. The reaction we got to that archive interview prompted us to trace down Keith for a follow up - 24 years later! Keith readily agreed. Ladies & gentlemen - Keith Scott!
